10 Gruesome Sports Injuries

if you tuned in to the NCAA Tournament yesterday than you saw the gruesome injury that Louisville’s Kevin Ware suffered. Though you hate to see these injuries let alone any injury happen to a play they do occur. That being said The Source Presents 10 Gruesome Sports Injuries, watch at your own risk

 

Kevin Ware – This injury took down Louisville’s Kevin Ware yesterday March 31st during their Elite 8 match up with Duke. The bench’s reaction is one of sheer horror when they see their teammate go down in front of them. 

 

Clint Malarachuk –  Goalie Clint Malarachuk gets his throat slit by another player’s skate during a play to the goal. All that blood on the ice is one of the most unsettling things ever. A trainer pinched his artery closed until paramedics could arrive saving Malarachuk’s life.  

 

Sid Vicious – call wrestling fake if you want but this injury is very real. Wrestler Sid Vicious comes down off the turnbuckle to land with his leg under for a gruesome leg break.  

 

Joe Theismann  – The most famous of sports injuries, LT ended Joe Theismann’s career with this hit on him.  

 

Shaun Livingston – After getting a steal early in the game Shaun Livingston proceeded to go for a layup but when he came down his leg went right out from under him.  

 

Willis McGahee – No one thought that Willis McGahee would play football ever again after this knee injury, but Willis did recover and has had a successful career in the NFL.  

 

Ryan Powdrell – Few things are grosser than when someone’s foot/leg gets turned around and stays like that. This injury ended Powdrell’s season.  

 

Djibril Cisse – This ankle injury warrants not only Djibril Cisses but any man this happens to cry. 

  

Allen Ray – tough to see in the video but Villanova player Allen Ray gets his poked out of its socket in a matchup with Pitt.  

 

John Terry  – Yea this happens in MMA all the time, someone getting knocked out by a kick but you don’t expect it in soccer. During a Chelsea vs. Arsenal matchup John Terry takes a boot to the face.
