The first time can always be a little awkward.
No, it’s not some strange social experiment, but the results are are surprising and endearing. Filmmaker Tatia Pilieva paired 20 strangers in Los Angeles and asked them to share a first kiss.
The project was a part of a fashion campaign for Wren Studio, a Los Angeles womenswear store. The ladies wore various pieces from the store’s Fall 2014 collection, including a leopard contrast dress and stripped fitted dress.
Some of the strangers pulled off the smooches effortlessly, while others looked like two awkward middle schoolers at their first dance. One couple attempted to break the ice by complimenting each other. ”You have nice eyes,” said one volunteer, to the response: “Thank you, so do you.”
The video has already garnered over 38 million views on YouTube. Watch the video and see the awkward yet touching encounters for yourself.
