Budweiser’s Made in America took over the streets of Philly over the Benjamin Franklin Parkway on Labor Day weekend. With more than 30 acts taking part in the festival, concert goers were able to take in music from bands and artists they weren’t familiar with.
This year’s lineup was consisted of artists who already have mainstream stardom and others who are on the cusp of breaking into the mainstream and have a cult like following. Fans had the chance of getting a glimpse of acts on different stages. Between those two stages I had the chance to check out some favorites like Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Miguel and Wiz Khalifa but I also had the chance to check out some new acts and got the chance to get reacquaint with others.
Fitz & the Tantrums
Fitz & The Tantrums is a band name I heard kicked around for a few months but I wasn’t curious enough to check them out online or any music they had floating around. The band did a few cuts from their, “More Than Just A Dream” album. The sound of the group seems to range from neo-soul all the way to pop music, which can draw in all kinds of fans to their music. And after their set, I made some mental notes to check out their latest work.
Latest Album: More Than Just A Dream
