If you’re on-the-go a lot, dragging around your favorite system to get your game fix isn’t exactly a plausible remedy. And with the explosion of mobile games being developed, who has the time to sift through the deluge to find the real gems. So we decided to give you a hand and tell you which ones we are playing each month.
Shadow Blade – Free
In the spirit of Ninja Gaiden and other 2D scrollers, Shadow Blade is the most recent ninja themed effort from Crescent Moon and Dead Mage. You’re a ninja tasked with jumping, sneaking, slashing through 30 levels in order to finish a mission to deliver a document to your master. With amazing graphics, cool music and responsive (albeit sometimes a touch too sensitive)touch controls, Shadow Blade is a great game.
Brandnew Boy – $3.99
Take a loosely crafted anime story line, add some amazing anime character design, sprinkle some RPG elements, top with the Unreal Engine 3 and you have the coolness that is Brandnew Boy. You play “Rookie” a young man who wakes up with amnesia and has to fight his way to the answers of who he is and what is he doing here. Unending battles, interesting enemies, fluid controls and the ability to fully customize your experience all make this a must have.
Marvel Run Jump Smash – $0.99
With Marvel mania running rampant, Marvel Run Jump Smash gives you the chance to gear up as one of your favorite characters and well run, jump and smash your way through obstacles and levels to save the world. You start off as a regular S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and can earn more heroes as you advance in the game. Great gameplay and graphics will have you unable to put it down.
Battle Supremacy – $2
If you’re a fan of World of Tanks and other tank battle games, then Battle Supremacy might be right in your wheelhouse. Battle Supremacy puts you at the controls of a tank in WWII era Europe and the Pacific as you go through an impressive number of missions. Aside from great graphics and easy to understand controls, the game has a number of modes, but the real winner is online multi-player where you can go up to a full 5-on-5 battle royal.
Honorbound – Free
While not giving a lot in terms of storyline, Honorbound is a beautifully designed epic RPG that fuses RPG, Dungeons & Dragons and Pokemon. You build a party, fight through swarms of enemy’s clearing dungeons and you can capture monsters adding them to your party.
