Fif’s all over the news this week.
Yesterday, 50 Cent announced his departure from Shady and Interscope Records, which has housed him for the past 11 years, releasing all four of his official LPs, in addition to two G-Unit compilation albums, and 6 albums from Fif’s G-Unit artists Lloyd Banks, Young Buck & Tony Yayo.
In addition to announcing his departure, 50 announced he was signing with indie label Caroline, a constituent of Capitol Records, and today we already have new music from his upcoming album Animal Ambition. The album is set to be released on June 3rd, and pre-orders will be available–along with two brand new tracks from the album–on March 18th. The funeral, produced by Jake One, features a cameo appearance from Tony Yayo–who claimed just yesterday on Twitter that G-Unit had disbanded–and a vaguely rejuvenated 50 Cent in story-telling mode.
