It looks like 50 cent is heading back to court this July but this time under heavy allegations of domestic abuse.
The 8-time platinum album rapper has 5 new charges stemming from a violent argument with his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins who is also the mother of his son. He is accused of kicking the once “Starter Wives” castee when he kicked through a door and reportedly broke a few personal items including a TV.
The Queens rapper is expected to be arraigned on July 22nd.
Under New York law the charges that he currently faces could set him back $50,000 with a maximum 5-year sentence. 50’s lawyer insists that the rapper did not kick his ex and released the following statement: “Curtis Jackson denies these allegations as made against him. It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest, we have been in contact with the L.A. City Attorney’s Office and are currently conducting our own investigation into these allegations. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not be commenting any further at this time.”
50 cent has been arrested several times in the last twenty years with charges ranging from simple assault to felony distribution.
