“Graced The Cover Of The Source Tell Me That Aint Hot”
Last Night (1/21) Funkmaster Flex premiered a new record from DJ Kayslay featuring Fat Joe & 50 Cent. It seems the once bitter enemies really have made amends and are keeping things pushing on this new banger produced by Streetrunner.
Fat Joe & 50 Cent’s beef is a well documented one that initially stemmed from Joe aligning himself with (at the time) 50 Cent’s sworn enemy Ja Rule. The rivalry only got more serious and tense as time went on, both harboring very strong resentment and dislike of the other even years after the initial incidents.
However in the same interview where Joe admitted “I thought someone would die” regarding their beef, he talked about how – in the spirit of mutual dear friend to both men Chris Lighty who committed suicide in 2012- they had in fact worked out their differences.
Fat Joe & Kayslay who’s album Rhyme Or Die this song will appear on, also had a fallout somewhere down the line, its good to see they’ve also worked out their differences.
This track seems to reinforce that idea, and although it sounds like the two probably never sat in the same studio to record, it’s still a dope song. Check it out below.
Shout out to Fat Joe for the name check. Respect!
