Rapper 50 Cent pleaded no contest to misdemeanor vandalism, resulting in three years probation and 30 days of community service after an alleged altercation with his child’s mother, Daphne (Daphne Joy) Narvaez.
The 38-year-old rapper faced a maximum sentence of five years in jail had he been convicted on four counts of vandalism and one count of misdemeanor domestic violence. The plea deal led to the dropping of the remaining counts of vandalism and domestic violence. In addition, he is to pay $7,100 in restitution, partake in domestic violence classes for a year and follow the restraining order that is in place.
According to reports, the Grammy winner kicked open the door of the residence of Navarez’s home and began kicking her and destroying furniture. It was then when fans found out 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, fathered an additional child to his 16-year-old son Marquis.
Attorney Scott Leemon reports 50 Cent is happy with the resolution.
