Houston Rockets dig deep and advance to the Western Conference Finals

It was just a week ago…

It was almost certain that the Houston Rockets were facing elimination after falling behind 3-1 while in the same respect, the Clippers were destined for their first conference finals in franchise history. But despite common belief, the Houston Rockets managed to make a comeback and win 3 games straight that inevitably knocked the Clippers out the playoffs and are now heading to the conference finals for the first time since 1997.

Showing why he was considered a strong candidate for MVP this season, James Harden chipped in 31 points, eights assists and seven rebounds while Dwight Howard stepped up with 16 points and 15 rebounds . Other notable players that stepped up tremendously were, Trevor Ariza and Josh Smith who logged in 22 points and seven rebounds and 15 points respectively.  Now the Rockets are set to face the scorching hot Golden State Warriors in the their first conference final appearance since 1997 tomorrow and if they play remotely how they did last night, the Houston Rockets have a shot at playing for the O’ Brien Trophy.
