Yesterday, the NBA Draft Lottery took place and there were some surprises

Yesterday, the 2015 NBA Draft Lotto took place in New York and the Minnesota Timberwolves who lost a staggering 66 games this past season, won big Tuesday night. Landing the top spot in the 2015 NBA Draft going down next month, you can almost bet the rebuilding of the T-Wolves franchise is in great favor. Coming in the second spot were the Los Angeles Lakers, who despite being one of the leagues greatest franchises, endured a tough 61 losses and on the heel (no pun intended) of Kobe’s career can greatly use a valuable draft pick in the 2015 class.Taking to his personal Twitter account, Kobe stated: “We played like crap all season so it’s only right we get the #2 pick HA.” Can’t say we don’t blame him, will be interesting to see who the Lakers draft, especially with Julius Randle on the frontline.

With the third and fourth pick respectively, were the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks and filling in the last spot in the top five was the Orlando Magic. Now that the top 5 spots are filled, the mystery of who goes first from Jahlil Okafor to Kentucky’s “Mr. Do-It- All” Karl-Anthony Towns is now the topic of discussion. Although, those two players are potential 1 and 2 picks in the draft, the draft is filled with a bunch of notable players in the first round from OSU’s D’Angelo Russell to the “Mystery Man” Emmanuel Mudiay. This year’s draft has alot of potential for shake-ups, we’ll just have to wait till June 25th to see it all unfold. Head here to see the full lottery on NBA.com.
