Frank Nitt has come a long way from Frank N’ Dank to his debut album with Madlib and now his first album with Fat Beats, Frankie Rothstein. It’s officially out today and features production from J. Rocc, J. Dilla and DJ Rhettmatic. Along with the release of his album, we’re proud to present the video for one of the tracks, “Official Supreme.” If you’ve been in love, you’re familiar with the feeling to come up with as many superlatives as possible that describe your special someone. Official supreme may have been one of them. With Botni on the hook, Frank describes how he respects the body and mind of his girl over some dense production from J. Dilla.
The video also doubles as a mini game for people who think they know the faces of several of Hip-Hop’s figures. See if you can spot Slim Kid Tre, Illa J, Phonte, Bishop Lamont, T3, Young RJ, Rhettmatic, King Karnov, Dank, Ma Dukes, Pete Rock, & Blu.
You can buy the album on iTunes, vinyl, and CD.
