On a weekend that’s supposed to recognize the veterans who fought for our country, more than 50 people were victims of gun violence over the holiday weekend in what’s known in America as “Chiraq”

At least 56 people were injured by gun violence, with at least 12 of them succumbing to their injuries over the holiday weekend in the war torn city of Chicago.

The youngest person shot was a 4 year old girl, who was shot Friday night as she sat in a car in the Englewoood section of the city. The youngest person killed was a 15 year old boy, who was shot in the the Bronzeville neighborhood. The latest killing occurred Sunday in the Austin section of Chi-Town, where a 17 year old boy was shot in the back and leg. He was later pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Mount Sanai and Stroger Hospitals in the Windy City were overrun with gunshot wound victims over the Memorial weekend.

As of today, no one is in custody for any of the attacks.
