LeBron and Co. gave it their all, but it just wasn’t enough

It was evident LeBron gave it his all, but still fell short. After going six games, the Cleveland Cavaliers fell short in a defeating loss to the Golden State Warriors which inevitably, gave the Warriors their first NBA Championship in 40 years. LeBron clocked in 46 minutes with a game high of 32 points and 18 rebounds to add to his 9 assists but the effort was simply not enough. The Warriors were led by Andre Iguodala of the Warriors with 25 points who later was named Finals MVP and Steph Curry, who also logged in 25 points.

Despite being resilient and even holding the Warriors to a cold streak of 6-22 from the field in the second quarter to close the gap 43-45 at halftime, that didn’t stop the Warriors. The Warriors, especially Curry and Andre Iguodala started to click and propelled a 12-point lead heading into the final quarter which caused the Cavs to go 6-22 from the field and give the Warriors the edge.

Being dynamic and completely having his way on both ends of the court was Draymond Green of the Warriors who had a triple double with 16 point, 11 rebounds and game-high 10 assists. With the impressive effort all around from the Warriors, it was clear the better team won and delivered the exclamation point to a successful season with the 105-97 win over the Cavs. It will be semi-interesting summer considering LeBron could “potentially” opt out of his contract and go elsewhere.
