It’s the 6th of July and if you’re lucky, you’ve already recovered from this past weekend’s festivities. If you haven’t, let this new video from Bernie Levv help you detox. The video may seem simple, compared to a zoovie that some rappers like to boast, but don’t confuse simplicity in execution with basic. Verluxe, the “girl gang” that is behind this video, sets the stage for Bernie and her two dancers to give you a choreographed dance to practice at home when you’ve got some spare time. It’s also a little consolation for the guy that Bernie is leaving behind.

Bernie Levv is the next Chicago artist whom you’re bound to hear about. She’s been friends with Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, NoNameGypsy, and other local talent since high school, but focused more on her modeling career. “Passing” is the first single off her second project, The Golden Hour. Her first project, SIGNS, is available for stream below. Look out for more from this soulful, velvety voice this year.

Bryan Hahn is waiting for someone to mix this song with Pharcyde’s “Passing Me By.” He’s on Twitter (@notupstate).
