The rap game in 2015 just isn’t what it was in its heyday. The things that used to matter, that could have meant the end of a rapper’s career, don’t matter anymore. Record sales and popularity count more to the youngins than actually being real in these streets. Back in the day, a rapper had to back up the bravado that they show on wax in real life. These days, not so much. Thankfully, there are still remnants of the real that show up from time to time. Today on The Bandwagon, we stop by Chicago to pay a visit to truth spitter M. Rex. He blessed us with his new track, “Nasty” to bump as we ride around Chiraq.

With rhymes like “Ten years in it, I ain’t new,  niggas. Copped a couple cribs. Put on a few bitches,” it is evident that M. Rex has been in the rap game as well as the streets for some time now. Musically, he was signed to Sony Red/Sony BMG, and has released various projects. He’s also got his producing on in the past. In the streets, he’s paid his dues as well, having spent time behind the wall for moving that weight.

“Nasty,” produced by Mexico Dro is the lead single off M. Rex’s highly anticipated EOTS2 (Enemy Of The State 2). The album is slated for a late 2015 release. Nasty will soon be available on iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, X-Box Music, iHeart Music and Apple Music, but you can get an exclusive sneak peek below.
