Confused with Future no longer, Kevin Gates is ready to carve out his own lane.

Though he may not know it, at the time of Pusha T’s Wrath Of Caine release, Kevin Gates was bothered with what may have been a good problem. The relentless comparisons to Atlanta’s newest superstar Future–mainly because of his infectious and relatable hook on Pusha’s “Trust You” track–may have rubbed Gates the wrong way, but it undoubtedly drew people to listen to him more and more in an effort to discern the differences, which were subtle at first but grew more and more glaring. Now, with his Luca Brasi Story EP gaining more traction, the Atlantic Records signee is prepping his upcoming Stranger than Fiction project, and he has a very solid record with “Roaming Around”, which is produced by the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League.
