TLC dropped from Epic Records? L.A. Reid releases statement
The drama continues as rumors are now on the rise that TLC was dropped from Epic Records. Since the premiere of ’CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story,’ Chilli and T-Boz have constantly made headlines, with some criticizing the story telling in the VH1 movie .
Pebbles Reid (ex-wife to L.A. Reid), Ashley Reid (daughter of L.A. and Pebbles Reid ) and Crystal Jones (an original TLC member) are a few who’ve shared their opinions publicly. Both Pebbles and Crystal say they were portrayed inaccurately.
According to reports, Chilli and T-Boz were allegedly dropped from their label at Epic Records. The label’s roster on their official site, which doesn’t include TLC, raised the question whether or not the group was still under the label, causing some to speculate.
This week, Chilli attempted to kill the rumors, stating via twitter, “Until we release an official statement don’t assume “talk” is real.”
And recently, L.A. Reid, CEO of Epic, Confirmed via twitter that TLC is still with Epic, stating, “sorry folks- @OfficialTLC have not been dropped by @Epic_Records and yes we @officialchilli and @tbozworld are friends 4 life!.”
And there you have it.
