The NBA season is almost a month away and media day is in full effect. The Los Angeles Lakers opened their practice gym and the overwhelming question for everyone in the room is what’s up with Kobe. It is the belief that this season will be Kobe Bryant’s last season with the Lakers; however, many have speculated if Bryant would leave the city of Angeles to chase a championship. During the Lakers media day, Bryant quickly put that rumor to bed. According to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports, Bryant believes: “A lot of players want to go to different teams or contend to win championships. I’m a Laker, man. I’m a Laker for better or worse.”

New York Knicks President Phil Jackson, who coached Bryant in Los Angeles, told Yahoo Sports it sounded like the star’s time with the Lakers might be winding down. The guard doesn’t share that view.

“I’m a Laker, man. How many times do I have to say that?” Bryant said. “Dude, I bleed purple and gold.”

This has to be be the most interesting story-line of the NBA season.
