MLB prepares to fight PED use
Outside The Lines has learned that Tony Bosch who is the founder of the former Biogenesis of America is cooperating with the MLB in regards to the use of Performance Enhancing Drugs. Prior to this a list of 20 players was released who had received treatment at the biogenesis clinic, but the MLB couldn’t use this information because Bosch wouldn’t confirm whether the information was accurate or not. Now that Bosch is cooperating the MLB could potentially suspend Alex Rodriguez, Ryan Braun and many more for 100 games.
The reason for Bosch cooperating is that he is looking for the MLB to drop their case against him, indemnify him for any liability coming from his cooperation, and personal security for him. A big picture plan for Bosch is for the MLB to put in a good word for him in case any law enforcement takes action against him.
Right now the MLB knows of just 20 names but the list could grow as the list included code names for some players.
