Rick Ross was arrested last week in northern California with more than $100,000 cash, and no it’s not who you’re thinking
Don’t MMG fans, Rozay is safe at home probably enjoying a pear or two as you read this. The arrest was of “Freeway” Ricky Ross, the man who claims his name was stolen by Miami rapper Rick Ross, who is notoriously known as a crack-cocaine kingpin in the Los Angeles county area. There are few details surrounding Ross’ arrest citing an ongoing investigation but the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department did release that he was also detained for conspiracy to commit a crime. The Orange County Register stated the arrest took place in the Emerald Triangle, which is a popular location for the growth of medical marijuana in northern California.
If you are familiar with “The Real” Rick Ross’ life story than you know of his past convictions and how huge his name was in the underworld as a prominent drug dealer in the 1980s. By 1996 he had earned over 600 million dollars and was in control of a nationwide empire the employed thousands of workers centered in Los Angeles, California. Unfortunately for him, that same year he was convicted for selling cocaine to a police informant. He was released in 2009 and in 2014 released his memoir titled ‘Freeway Rick Ross: The Untold Autobiography’ and followed up with a biographical documentary in 2015 called Freeway: Crack in the System.
Fortunately for him, Ross was released shortly after his arrest. Lets hope that Ross can continue on this path of legal success and from now on stay out of the way of the long arm of the law.
