With the new sponsorship, the theater inside of Brooklyn’s Barclays Center will now be known as Tidal Theater
The ink on the name-in-title sponsorship deal betwen the Barclays Center and the new entertainment streaming service Tidal has dried this wek, as the Cushman & Wakefield Theater has officially been named Tidal Theater. The deal is unique in that it is believed to be the first time a digital content company has come in as a sponsor for a live performance venue.
The theater will be curating events with emerging as well as established artists under the Tidal Discovery platform. In the deal, it has been agreed that the Tidal Theater will facilitate a minimum of eight events per year.
The Tidal Theater’s curtaining system will offer seating for between 4,000 and 6,000 attendees for theatrical performances, concerts, music festivals, boxing events, comedy acts, and other events. A new configuration will allow guests to have floor access to Barclays Center’s new Billboard Lounge amplified by Lightpath, and the Calvin Klein Courtside Club, as well as offer top sightlines from the 40/40 Club & Restaurant by American Express.
