When 50 Cent rose to prominence back in 2003, it wasn’t just his no-holds-barred, hyper-gangster raps that garnered him acclaim. The story of the fateful night that he was shot nine times in front of his grandmother’s Jamaica, Queens residence set the stage for 50’s usurp of the music industry. While Fif has long moved forward since the incident that nearly claimed his life, he still holds a piece of that night with him forever. That “piece” is a bullet fragment that’s permanently lodged in his tongue.

In a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, 50 discussed his summer single, “9 Shots”. Naturally this lead to questions about the night he was shot. “I got hit in the face, so a fragment portion is in my tongue, so it changed the way I speak I little bit,” he explained. He went on to tell the audience, “It’s great for oral sex.”

Actress Julie Walters got a bit curious, and said “Let’s have a feel Fifty” before putting her finger in his mouth to prove the validity of the claim.
