Mastermind’s lead single gets an MMG face-lift
Rick Ross had been name-dropping Maybach Music as his label since his third album, Deeper Than Rap (2009), but it wasn’t until the official signings of Meek Mill & Wale, and the success of their first compilation album, Self-Made, that Ross’ then Warner Bros. imprint became a viable player in the rap game. On the remix to Mastermind‘s lead single, which already featured Future, Ross takes it back to 2010 and tabs Wale & Meek to assist him in the updated version of “No Games”. Mastermind is no longer coming out on December 17th, and we’ve yet to hear “Devil Is A Lie”, the talked about collaboration with Jay Z that Ross revealed would be his upcoming album’s newest single, but for now, we’ll take the J.U.S.T.I.C.E League-produced remix as a holdover.
In addition to the release of the official remix, Rick Ross just released MMG Priorities Vol. 1, a compilation mixtape featuring numerous standout songs from recent MMG releases (i.e. “Black Grammys”, “Dope Dealer”) and the debut tracks of Ross’ newest signees (“16″, “She Fell In Love”). Check out the cover and tracklist below, and download the mixtape after the jump.
