The last installment of the Hunger Games takes us to District 13 with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) still unable to speak to a brainwashed Peeta after he was rescued from the Capitol.

The nation of Panem is sliding into a full-scale apocalyptic war as Katniss has accepted her role as the Mockinjay symbol in the rebellion. She hopes that this symbolism can help raise the troops’ morale to turn the tide against the Capitol. She decides to join Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and Finnick (Sam Claflin) in Squad 451. They set out on a covert mission to assassinate President Snow. The city, which once was glittery and beautiful with its exuberant citizens, is now reduced to empty ruins. Snow believes he can still outwit and destroy Katniss. However, Katniss is no longer anyone’s pawn. She will do anything to restore peace to Panem and save lives. Throughout the movie she struggles with the morals of war, and where to draw the line with violence and civilian casualties.
