Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, the Atlanta man convicted of shooting at Lil’ Wayne‘s tour bus, received a 10 year prison sentence along with 10 years of probation following his release for the shooting outside of ATL’s Compound nightclub in April.

Winfrey, 25, was convicted of six of the 27 charges against him in a Cobb County courtroom this past week. He was initially facing 30 counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a felon and criminal gang activity in connection to the incident before striking a plea deal.

It was alleged that the shooting was orchestrated by Baby Williams and Young Thug, who have been at odds with Wayne since his announced departure from Cash Money, but both Young Thug and Baby adamantly deny the allegations. It has been confirmed, however, that Winfrey did serve as Thugger’s road manager in the past and were seen in photographs together less than a year prior to the shooting.

Winfrey began serving his sentence immediately.
