Two college students that had been reoported missing since yesterday, were rescued this morning by SWAT team members in Rochester, New York after being “forcibly abducted against their will”.
Four people were in taken into custody after Sunday night’s raid to free University of Rochester seniors Nicholas Kollias, 21, and Ani Okeke-Ewo, 21. Rochester Police Chief Michael Ciminelli told a press conference Sunday that Kollias and Okeke-Ewo were recovering in hospital after being treated for injuries. NBC station WHEC quoted Ciminelli as saying it was a targeted attack.
At least one of the students is recovering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Rochester Police are still determining charges for those in custody, but they expect that some combination of assault and kidnapping charges to be filed against the four asailants.
