Unidentified, yet world renowned street artist BANKSY has tackled a current technology vs. terrorism issue by using his art to point out that the late Apple CEO Steve Jobs was the child of a Syrian refugee by painting an image of Jobs in a refugee camp in France.

The piece was found in a migrant camp in Calais, France known as “The Jungle” showing Jobs with a knapsack on his back carying his Mac Classic in hand.

The Jungle is a congregation of tents and makeshift transient housing, which mirrors the realities of a refugee’s life. The fact that countries are being encouraged to reject refugees from Syria becaue of the global sentiment of the small Islamic country and the Apple founder is the child of one of these migrants has caused a firestorm of reactions on the Internet.

Steve Jobs is the child of a Syrian named Abdul Fattah Jandali, an activist who fled Beirut and came to the U.S. where he met Joanne Carol Schieble. These two had a child who was adopted by Paul and CLara Jobs.
