“Jibbing” is the act of sliding your snowboard, or skis in this case, on rails, tables and other objects much like a street skateboarder would. Jibbing is difficult for skiers though because they don’t always have snow to work with. But snow isn’t hard to find during winter in midwestern cities like, say, Detroit.

This group of skiers wanted to make a street skiing video, but they didn’t want to make a conventional one. They wanted to put their tricks up against the roughened exterior of Detroit’s abandoned buildings. The results are oddly beautiful.
