It’s bad enough the Denver Broncos have more than a handful of weapons, which include Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker and kicker Matt Prater. And thats just the offense!

You might be asking yourself, why include the kicker? Why is Matt Prater considered an offensive power? The kicker nailed a 64-yard field to end the first half against the Tennessee Titans Sunday making that 64-yard the new NFL record.

Prior to Prater breaking the record, four NFL kickers made 63-yarders. Tom Dempsey with the New Orleans Saints in 1970, Jason Elam with the Broncos in 1998, the Oakland Raiders’ Sebastian Janikowski in 2011, and David Akers with the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 in the 2012 NFL season.

Some think Prater was able to break the record because of the thin air in Denver, but c’mon son, a record is a record. Give him his props.
