According to confirmed reports, NYC graffiti mainstay RE 357 passed away yesterday.

The Bronx native is a well-known veteran all over the streets of the Big Apple, best recognized on the walls and gates for his gigantic tags with wide fat caps in all five boroughs. Killing the streets since 1997, the DJ/producer/graff king has been repping the 357 Crew along with the likes of DE3 and RD before starting his own crew KW.

In a recent interview on DTF Radio‘s The Vandal Hour, RE had this to say about the culture that engulfed his life since 12 years old;

“I fell in love with it from that point and it never stopped.”

Details about the cause of his death have not yet be confirmed.

The Source Magazine sends our most sincere condolences to his family and friends.
