Racial profiling is in full effect as DJ/platinum member of Delta is kicked off plane because of tattoos
Just another day in the life of a young Black man. And that’s what makes racial profiling one of the greatest issues facing American society.
According to a report from Davey D’s hiphopandpolitics.com, dead prez DJ Mikeflo aka Michael Flowers was kicked off of an Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle to Portland. The flight was allegedly delayed and Flowers was ordered off the plane for what the flight attendant considered “suspicious” face tattoos.
In his interview with Davey D, the tat covered DJ insists that his permanent facial art are Religious African symbols that are protected under international law. To further bring irritation to the conscious crew’s man behind the wheels of steel, Flo is a platinum member of Delta, which is a partner of Alaska Airlines. He also asked why was he delayed and put on a later flight if his tats were so offensive.
Flowers has already hired a lawyer and began a campaign against these types of prejudices with the hashtag #ItsArtNotACrime. After the cases of Renisha McBride and the Barney’s controversy, young Black men can only wonder what danger is next on the menu.
