In the nationwide Powerball lottery, a winner has been confirmed in California.
California lotto officials claim they have one winner of the Powerball jackpot, which rose to a record-breaking $1.5 billion ahead ofWednesday night’s drawing. This number represents the estimated total annuitized grand prize, not the cash prize, which stood at $929.9 million on Wednesday.
The winning Powerball numbers were drawn Wednesday night: 8, 27, 34, 4, 19 and the Powerball of 10.
California officials tweeted after tge drawing immediately that a winning ticket was sold in the state, although it was still not clear if other winning tickets were sold.
“We have a winner in California! A jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Chino Hills. We’re still awaiting results from other states.”
