Jordan brand added some flare to a classic shoe by making a black version of the beloved Grape V’s with sneakerheads dubbing them the “Black Grape” color way.  The shoe features a full black nubuck base with the classic New Emerald and Grape Ice highlights and accents. With only a few days left until the start of summer, these would be a great way to start off in the warm weather.  The original Grape color maybe considered one of the first everyday fashion shoe , since the color didn’t go with any of Michael Jordan’s home or away colors while he played for the Bulls in the early 90′s. The colorway itself was an all-star color which MJ wore in the 1991 NBA all-star game.

The Grape colorway has been making the rounds on the internet for sometime now and has been spotted on the feet on the likes of rapper J. Cole. If you’re looking to get a pair, chains like Footlocker will be offering raffles for Saturday release. If you want to grab them earlier check your local mom and pop stores as the shoe is arriving at a few retailers days early. Online retailers like Atlanta’s Wise currently has the shoe currently on sale.
