This weekend, Donald Trump jokingly insinuated that his election game is so “Trump tight”, that his supporters would let him get away with murder so that he could become the next President of the United States.
During a rally in Sioux Center, Iowa, the real estate tycoon told those in atendance, “My people are so smart. And you know what else they say about my people? The polls — they say I have the most loyal people … I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters.”
That joke definitely won’t sit well with anti-gun violence advocates, especially since the United States leads the world in mass shootings.
Trump’s supporters have been recorded starting physical confrontations with protesters at his rallies, and evidently with Trump’s support.
“Maybe he should have been roughed up because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing,” Trump told FOX News in November, after attendees at one of his rallies beat and kicked a Black Lives Matter protester, who was Black.
It’s becoming more and more of a reality that Donald Trump will likely become the Republican representative in the 2016 Presidential election and even a murder conviction couldn’t even keep him from that.
