Kristaps Porzingis has taken New York by storm with his play but his impact also can’t be denied in his homeland, as he’s gotten his first rap dedication from a group named Olas.
The song is titled “Keep Calm Like Kristaps Porzingis,” and it currently has over 400,000 views on YouTube. The group is reportedly from Latvia and in the song they even shout out fellow Knick Carmelo Anthony. The song marks quite a turnaround for Porzingis, who was first booed in New York when he was chosen by the New York Knicks on draft night.
“Godzingis” has since won over the city with his play, with some even pinning their hopes and future of the franchise on the young man’s shoulders. “Keep Calm Like Kristaps Porzingis” just adds to his reputation.
