To step up to the plate in the recent Flint, Michigan water crisis, Compton ,CA rapper Jayceon Taylor aka The Game made a pledge yesterday[January 26, 2016] to donate $1 million in bottled water to the citizens of the troubled city.

The 36-year-old West Coast representative posted a picture on his Instagram page of him sending a wire transfer of a half million dollars to his charity, the Robin Hood Project. He noted that Avita Water would be putting up the other half million.

So, I’m on tour & not in the US as I’d like to be to help with this water crisis in Flint, Michigan 1st hand…. #1 because my younger sister & her children live there & 2nd because I care. Most celebs on here faking using the word “Pledge” in their so called donations are not fooling anyone ! Taylor’s younger sister and her children live in the city that has been plagued by a water crisis that has poisoned Flint’s water supply.

The Game’s post also calls out Jimmy Fallon and Madonna, saying that their $10K donations were, “..cute, but not nearly enough.”

Let’s hope that The Game’s generous pledge continues to help the people who are in grave danger without the donations of water from celebrities.
