While continuing to “promote” her album, Beyonce released “Self-Titled: Part 2 Imperfection” to fans.
In the three-minute video, Queen Bey dives further into her creative process while recording her fifth studio album “Beyonce” opens up by explaining all the sacrifices she made as a child and how she feels about it now.
“At the end of the day when you go through all these things is it worth it? You get this trophy and you say ‘I basically starved. I have neglected all of the people that I love. I conformed to what everyone else thinks I should be and I have this trophy. What does that mean? The trophy represents all of the sacrifices I made as a kid; all of the time that I lost being on the road in the studios as a child and I just want to blow that sh*t up!”
She also goes onto explain how losing on the 80′s talent show “Star Search” at 9 years old was the best lesson for her.
“I was only 9 years old and I didn’t actually realize at the time that you could work super hard and give everything you have and lose!”
Watch the video in which Beyonce explains further the meaning of her album, what truly matters and her perspective on life.
