Former Oklahoma City Police Officer Daniel Holtzclaw, who was convicted of raping dozens of Black women that he detained during traffic stops, has disappeared from the prison database of the Oklahoma Department Of Corrections.
Holtzclaw’s mugshot, conviction and location of incarceration has been removed from the OK DOC’s webiste, even though corrections officials have told reporters that he is in custody.
The DOC has issued a statement saying that the former cop turned rapist’s information was taken down from the site because “their primary responsibility is the safety and security of offenders and then the public’s safety.”
Holtzclaw was sentenced to 263 consecutive years in prison last month, was found guilty on 18 of 36 charges, including rape and sexual battery.
