Major League Baseball free agent Delmon Young was arrested Sunday night in Miami for battery after he allegedly choked and threatened to kill the valet attendant at a hotel.

The 30 year old former Oriole was arrested at the Viceroy Miami Hotel after a valet denied Young entrance into a club in the Brickell Hotel. The MLB player became upset when the valet didn’t let him in, Young reportedly yelled, “Stupid Cuban. Open the f***ing door. I’m here. Now what?”

After the attendant repeated that the club was closed, Young told him, “I’m gonna f***ing kill you, you Latin piece of s**t!” Young then reached over the valet podium and placed his hands on the attendant’s neck, but the attendant was able to break free and ran for help, according to the police report.

Police said Young was drunk while being arrested and told an officer, “I’ll slap you in the face with money, you f***ing Cuban.”

Young, who most recently played for the Baltimore Orioles, has had a similar run-in with the law in the past. He was arrested in 2012 in NYC after police claimed that he yelled anti-Semitic epithets during a fight at his hotel.

The free agent outfielder, who has also played for the Tampa Bay Rays, Philadelphia Phillies, Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins, was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami.
