ImageNation Cinema Foundation has announced the return of its #RevolutionAwards to celebrate innovative trailblazers for their groundbreaking efforts in media, arts and social change.
WHO: Honorees include Oscar-nominated director Ava DuVernay, writer of the Broadway play Eclipsed and Walking Dead actress Danai Gurira, MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry, actor Hill Harper of Limitless and CSI, NY, and Black Lives Matter.

Panelists: Image activist Michaela Angela Davis, 1982 film director Tommy Oliver and renowned psychologist Dr. Jeff Gardere.
WHAT: Titled, Cocktails, Cinema & Revolution, the evening will celebrate Black excellence and achievement in film, media and activism. The evening will open with a cocktail reception followed by the Revolution Awards concluding with an advance screening of the upcoming Lionsgate/CodeBlack film 1982 starring Hill Harper, Wayne Brady, Lala Anthony, Sharon Leal & Ruby Dee.
