Your favorite 90’s crimefighting trio has returned. That’s right, The Powerpuff Girls will make their return to Cartoon Network this April and from the looks of it, they still have a lot of fight left in them.

In the short clip, a new Paul Bunyan-esque villain is looking to destroy a carnival their attending and makes the big mistake of calling Buttercup “princess”. Fans of the show can guess what happens from there.

Cartoon Network announced back in 2014, that they would be reviving the popular series, which ran from 1998 to 2005. Creator Craig McCracken, the man behind the original series is not returning to be involved with the new series, but from the looks of the clip that shouldn’t be a cause of concern. McCracken’s version however maintains the record for the biggest debut on Cartoon Network when the series first premiered on Nov. 18, 1998. Let’s see if the new series will break this record in April when it premieres.
