18-time Grammy Award winner Paul McCartney, who has on his resume minor honors including 1964’s new artist trophy with the Beatles and the 1967 album of the year win for the niche release “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” wondered, “How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit … “ as he, six-time Grammy winner Beck and others in their group were told to talk to the hand outside Tyga’s celebration in Hollywood.

The snub was caught on video by TMZ, whose cameras also found Tyga and Bow Wow after the fact. Tyga didn’t know what had gone down, but knew McCartney is a music legend, while Bow Wow said that if the performer had seen McCartney, he would have made sure he got in the door.

Then Tyga got on social media Tuesday to say, essentially, “Wasn’t me.”

Tyga was nowhere to be seen as McCartney was turned away, which at first glance looks more like a security fail than anything intentional. McCartney got in the back seat of a big black SUV and went over to another party at Hyde on the Sunset Strip.
