Drake announces the “Would You Like A Tour” alongside Future and Miguel.
Earlier this morning, Drake announced a 41-city U.S. and Canadian tour in support of his highly anticipated upcoming album Nothing Was The Same, which is due out later this summer. The tour starts Wednesday, September 25th at Portland’s Rose Garden Arena and will feature Miguel, joining Drake at all 41 shows. The tour will also feature one of our cover stars, Future. This announcement can be added to hip-hop’s takeover of 2013, the summer has barely begun and with tomorrow’s releases from Mac Miller, J. Cole, and Kanye West, it will be the start of a sizzling summer in hip-hop. The anticipation brewing over Drake’s forthcoming album has boiled over since the release of “Started From The Bottom” and continued with the addition of “5 AM In Toronto” and “Girls Love Beyonce.”
Being that Take Care is a tough act to follow, giving Drake his first Grammy (Best Rap Album), Nothing Was The Same appears as a great compliment. From the looks of the track list, it appears Drake will not be disappointing anyone. Joining Drake will be Miguel, who has captivated everyone in America since he released All I Want Is You back in 2010 and continued his rise in R&B with Kaleidoscope Dream just last year. Two Grammy Award winning artists joined by one of Atlanta’s hottest rappers in Future, it looks like a promising tour. We’ll take you up on that offer Drake, we would like a tour.
