There’s no question electronic music is experiencing peak popularity nowadays, especially seen on Monday when Justin Beiber took home his first Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording for his collaboration with EDM heavyweights Skrillex and Diplo, “Where Are Ü Now.”

Yesterday [February 18], legendary DJ Paul Oakenfold announced the inaugural Electronic Music Awards, which will recognize top DJs, producers, international dance clubs, EDM festivals and radio shows. Calvin Harris, The Chainsmokers, Galantis, Kygo and DJ Snake are nominated for record of the year. Galantis and Harris are also nominated for album of the year.

Jack U collaborators Skrillex and Diplo are going head to head for DJ of the year and DJ Snake is also nominated for best new artist. Disclosure’s new album Caracal, which features collaborations with The Weeknd, Sam Smith, Lion Babe, Kwabs, Miguel and Lorde is also up for Album of the Year.
