And the anticipation grows..
J. Cole & Kendrick Lamar have been speaking on working on a project together for over 2 years but the two sure know how to drive their fans crazy.
Think back to when Kendrick Lamar dropped his J. Cole produced “The Jig Is Up”, a lot of blogs picked it up as “Kendrick Lamar Ft. J. Cole” but were disappointed three minutes later when Cole only appeared talking at the end of the track. They did it again when J. Cole posted his tracklisting for his album Born Sinner (in stores tomorrow) and people [im]patiently waited for track 11, “Forbidden Fruit”, which ended up only featuring Lamar singing the hook.
At the moment, you can only hear rapping two collabs between them through muffled YouTube clips but between Cole & Kendrick but in just about every interview they get asked the golden question of people wondering when they would be dropping their project, now confirmed to be an album, together.
J. Cole visited the Ricky Smiley morning show and was asked about his chemistry with Kendrick…
“Whenever we get a chance to get in a studio together, we’re gonna knock that out,” he said of his album with K. Dot. “When we get together, I feel like he’s my cousin. You have that cousin that you love when he come to the house because all you do is play video games and play ball? Y’all got the same interests? That’s how it is when we link up.”
He also mentioned that he has slight ODC thats pretty hard to explain, you can watch him try to in the interview.
