Former NBA star and HIV/AIDS advocate Earvin “Magic” Johnson loves boxing and is even a big fan of boxing great Manny Pacquiao, but the Filipino boxer won’t be seeing anymore of the Lakers’ Hall Of Famer’s money after his comments about homosexuality and same-sex marriage.

“I won’t be watching another one of Manny Pacquiao’s fights,”

said Johnson via his official Twitter account after Pacquiao compared homosexuals to animals.
“If we approve [of] male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animals,” declared the Filipino boxer and philanthropist.

The former Lakers guard said that he won’t even be watching a Pacqiuao fight on pay-per-view, one of which he has approaching in April. Pacquiao has since apologized for comparing gay people to animals but has stood strong in his stance against homosexuality, using the Bible as his defense.

Other sports figures have since distanced themselves from Pacquiao such as wrestler/actor Dave Bautista, Puerto Rican pro boxer Orlando Cruz and NBA star Jason Collins.
