Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is one of the classics that probably never left your 80s movie collection, no matter how many decades have passed by. The famously awesome film revolves around Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick), a high school student who successfully skips school and takes the day off with friends to partake in all sorts of fun activities.

Originally released on June 11, 1986 the movie celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and to celebrate the milestone, a festival is happening which will include a tour of the film’s famous locations, including Cameron’s glass house. It will be happening on Friday May 20 through May 22, hosted in Chicago where Ferris and friends go on their adventure. The festival has been organized for a couple of months now and will consist of a screening of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, in addition to a tour of the film’s locations and a recreation of Ferris’ room.

The festival will also recreate the film’s memorable parade sequence as well as a Q & A with cast members. Ferris fans are advised to purchase tickets a head of time (when they become available) and are applicable to skip everything else and take a day off with friends for Ferris Fest.
