Born on this date in 1975, El-P, also known as  El Producto, is an emcee and record producer that dominated the underground Hip Hop scene. The Brooklyn born EL is originally a member of Company Flow and has been a major driving force in alternative hip hop for more than two decades, producing for several notable underground rappers.

As the co-founder, owner and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Definitive Jux record label. El-P also formed the hip-hop duo Run the Jewels with collaborator Killer Mike.
