Yesterday [Friday, March 4], Variety reported Sony is going forward with a 23 Jump Street-Men in Black crossover movie. Apparently director James Bobin is in talks to helm the film. He’s known for his work on The Muppets and Flight of the Conchords. While Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are expected to reprise their roles as Jenko and Schmidt respectively, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will not be starring in the film. We wouldn’t be surprised if they made a cameo in the action-comedy.

21 and 22 Jump Street directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will produce the film, but will not be able to direct due to the Han Solo flick they’re working on for Disney. As for Agent Jay and Agent Kay, Sony is planning to cast younger talent to relaunch the franchise. The idea first went public in 2014 during the Sony hack fiasco. Filming is supposed to being in June.
