Just in case you thought you had a bad New Year’s Day or eve, nothing comes close to Cody Zeller‘s failed dunk on super star power forward Blake Griffin.

Zeller missed a wide open dunk going down the lane against the Los Angeles Clippers. Instead of catching a highlight reel and become one of the few players that have on dunked on Griffin, Zeller stuffed the ball in front of the rim for a embarrassing play instead.

That dunk has summed up Zeller’s rookie season so far. Becoming the fourth overall pick in the 2013 draft, he’s averaging a dismal 5.2 points and 4.1 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per game and shooting 38% from the field.  Let’s hope owner Michael Jordan can teach the young rookie how to finish at the basket.
